2006 Black Jack Chortle's Edge Shiraz

The Chortles Edge Shiraz was born as a result of the 1998 frost which wiped out the Black Jack vineyard. The fruit was purchased from the Fielding family at North Harcourt and from Turners Crossing at Bridgewater. Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Top note of vanilla followed by spice with a hint of blackberry, plum, liquorice and confectionary. On the palate flavours of blackberry, liquorice and plum with vanilla emerging on the back palate. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of plum and spice.
