Opaque deep purple black colour with purple mauve hue. The nose is relatively closed at first but opens up to yield aromas of blackberry, liquorice, confectionary and vanilla. Flavours of blackberry, liquorice and blackpepper – the palate is still quite tightly knit and somewhat restrained. Fine grained dry, slightly chalky tannins Long aftertaste of blackpepper, spice and blackberry.
