Barossa Valley Estate (BVE) was formed in 1984 by 80 grape growers who formed a co-operative to produce their own wine. Each year, the group carefully hand picks the finest Shiraz grapes for their renowned E & E Black Pepper Shiraz.
Matured for 18 months in French and American oak of which 25% is new. Totally opaque inky black colour with black dark red hue. The nose presents a very intense sniff of ripe blackberry, liquorice allsorts, black plum and mocha followed by some vanillin oak and spice. Impressively rich and opulent the palate delivers lavish flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice and ripe blackberry followed by some vanillin oak and spice. Dryish finish with slightly firm but fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, dark chocolate, ripe blackberry, cedary vanilla andspice.
