2006 Aramis Vineyards Shiraz

Matured in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months the colour of this wine is holding up well displaying an opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays liquorice and blackberry top notes followed some aromas of dark chocolate and spice. Full bodied the palate delivers flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and spice followed by some toasty vanillin oak like characters and pepper on the back palate. Very fine grained soft tannins with long aftertaste of dark chocolate, liquorice, vanillin oak and pepper.
Drink over the next 2 years (2011-2013).
