In a market suffering from 'grapegestion', the ‘smart’ winemakers are over delivering on quality in order to maintain value and market share. For this reason, the Yalumba 'Y' series of wines continue to enjoy enormous success in Australia and overseas. The range consistently offers distinctive primary fruit flavours and exceptional value for money.

 "Inexpensive, yet filled with flavour."

Outstanding black mauve purple colour with mauve purple hue, showing excellent cling to the glass walls. Top notes of liquorice followed by dried apricot, spice and vanilla followed by a blackberry end note. Full bodied palate, yet delivering a sense of elegance (not a bad combination for an inexpensive red). Flavours of blackberry, white pepper and dried apricot. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance.
Cellar 2-3 years (2008-2009)
Alc/Vol: 13.5%
