2005 Torbreck The Gask Shiraz

This is the first Torbreck wine sourced entirely from the Eden Valley. Produced from vines planted in 1960 the wine was aged for 18 months in French oak and bottled without fining or filtration.

An impressive red. Opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Violet top note, perfumed, followed by vanilla, spicy oak and blackberry. Voluptuous palate flavours with vanilla, blackberry, a hint of arrowmint and truffle. An elegant wine, reflective of the year, beautiful balance. Very long aftertaste of liquorice allsorts, spice and blackberry.
