2005 Tim Smith Wines Shiraz

Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. There is strong cling to the glass walls. Perfumed nose with top note of vanilla, ripe blackberry, prune and spice followed by a liquorice allsorts end note. The palate displays flavours of ripe blackberry and liquorice, over a spicy black pepper back palate. Fine grained chalky tannins which run into the aftertaste. The wine lacks some of the length that the nose promises.
