2005 Teusner Joshua Grenache Mataro Shiraz

This wine is an example of an unwooded red that the winemaker describes as having a ‘touch of spunk.’ Very deep crimson mauve purple colour with mauve purple hue. Aroma of fresh raspberry, followed by a hint of ripe strawberry and blackberry juice. The palate flavour profile is quite youthful with nuances of fresh liquorice over freshly crushed raspberry, cherry and raspberry jubes. Soft tannins with an elegant sense of ‘joosiness’ and just a touch of white pepper emerging.
