2005 Taylors Eighty Acres Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

Medium body, crimson colour with crimson hue. The nose displays a strong Cabernet lift with aroma of blackcurrant, spice, light cedar and just a hint of earth. On the palate, flavours of plum and stewed fruit are supported by fine, slightly chalky tannins. Back palate flavour of liquorice, plum and stewed fruit. Aftertaste of stewed fruit with a hint of earth.

First Tasted, October 2007: Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose violets and spice, followed by blackcurrant and confectionary with hints of earth. The palate has good weight, with flavours of liquorice, spice and plum evident. Fine grained tannins. Blackcurrant back palate flavours. An elegant style, perfectly balanced. Aftertaste of confectionary, liquorice and plum.
