2005 St. Hallett Eden Valley Riesling

Bright pale straw colour with water like hue. Delicate lime top note, followed by tropical fruit and spice. Lemon and spice are dominant on the palate, followed by confectionary and tropical fruit. Crisp acid backbone. Lemon and tropical fruit aftertaste.

First Tasted, June 2006: This wine is already showing some signs of early development. Bright pale straw colour with green film and water like hue. Light honey toast top notes followed by a hint of lime and tropical fruit. The palate is showing signs of complexity, with confectionary flavours emerging over a layer of pineapple, mandrin and honey, with toast and citrus in the background. Clean acid finish. Aftertaste of honey, lime, citrus and mandarin.
