2005 Shirvington Shiraz

Superb colour featuring an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Heady aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate waft from the glass with underlying vanillin oak and spicy mocha ensuing. Thick, rich and massively concentrated the mega weight palate is saturated with voluptuously textured ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plum flavours which intermingle with some mocha infusions, vanillin oak, a hint of leather and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Tremendously decadent and powerful with a long lavish aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberries, toasty vanillin oak, subtle leather and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
