2005 Schubert Estate Goose-Yard Block Shiraz

A big, lavish, thickly textured Barossa red.
The colour of this wine is holding up very well displaying a totally opaque black crimson colour with deep black crimson hue. Lifted aromas of very ripe black plum and blackberry are followed by some liquorice and dark chocolate notes. Very rich and densely concentrated the palate delivers a voluptuous flavour profile of ripe blackberry, black plum, liquorice allsorts and dark chocolate. Soft velvet smooth tannins. Superb length and persistence with very long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice allsorts, dark chocolate and confectionary.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
