A straightforward wine that has started its evolution in a traditional Burgundian manner but not managed to live up to the anticipated potential. Matured for 12 months in new and used French Oak. Fermented with wild yeasts, with whole berries in open wooden vats.
Bright pale gold colour with straw hue. Top note showing some barrel ferment characters of yeast lees and cashew with light biscuit end note. The palate flavours are light with spice and yeast lees evident over a touch of butterscotch. Soft acid finish. Light aftertaste of spice, biscuit and yeast lees.
