2005 Pisa Range Poplar Block Pinot Noir

The Estate is nestled at the base of the snow capped Pisa Range and consists of a series of flat and terraced blocks. Several clones of Pinot are close planted, delivering low yields around 2 tonnes per acre.

The colour of this wine is very impressive – very deep crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. Superb lifted nose of perfumed violets, spice and cherry, followed by a gamey end note. On the palate, flavours of anise, black cherry and spice, followed by an impressive power wave. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of black cherry, spice and game.
