2005 Pierro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Opaque black dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose exhibits perfumed scents of blackcurrants and dark ripe mulberries which are followed by some tobacco cigar box like characters, cedar and spice. Medium bodied but boasting a plentiful supply of rich ripe fruit the palate delivers flavours of blackcurrant, dark mulberries, cedar and spice followed by some earthy cigar box like characters on the back palate. Velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannins. Superb depth with very long blackcurrant, cedar, spice and earthy cigar box aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2012-2017).
