2005 Olivier Leflaive Chablis Les Deux Rives

This is a Chablis blend with grapes being sourced from both banks of the Serein River, hence the name 'Deux Rives'. An excellent example of Leflaive's blending abilities. A very impressive Chablis, which is a lot more aromatic than examples from previous years. Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Perfumed nose of confectionary, biscuit and straw, with surprising end notes of citrus and peach. The palate has excellent weight and generous mouthfeel. Flavours of confectionary, spice, dry straw and peach. The flavours are much stronger than expected. Clean finish. A generous Chablis.
