2005 Nepenthe The Good Doctor Pinot Noir

A most impressive Adelaide Hills pinot made from the best parcels of fruit and honouring the late Doctor Ed Tweddell.

Semi translucent. Crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Superb perfumed nose showing distinctive varietal character. Top note of spice, followed by ripe strawberry, strawberry jam and ripe cherries. The palate has weight and persistence with very good power wave. Velvet smooth tannins, showing the hallmark of great Pinot. Flavours of ripe cherries, strawberry, cinnamon and spice abound over a subtle liquorice back palate, impressive power wave showing strong varietal character with very persistent aftertaste.
