2005 Le Mesnil Sublime Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne

Superb white frothy mousse that holds well. Very pale gold base wine colour with exceptionally fine and profuse bead. The nose opens with lifted yeast lees and cashew aromas followed by a touch of citrus and some toasty baked bread notes. A very refined and classy sniff. The palate is not quite as full as the previous release showing more refinement with mouthfilling flavours of citrus and cashew followed by some yeast lees, brioche and biscuity hazelnut. Clean crisp finish with creamy like mouthfeel. Excellent length with long citrus, cashew, yeast lees and biscuity hazelnut aftertaste.
