2005 Jacob's Creek Johann Shiraz Cabernet

Totally opaque black crimson colour with black heart and deep black dark red hue. The nose delivers a perfumed sniffing experience of blackberry, blackcurrant, spearmint and liquorice followed by some confectionary end notes showing excellent intensity. Full bodied and rich, yet elegant in structure the palate displays generous flavours of blackberry, liquorice and minty blackcurrant followed by some mocha, confectionary and spice. Fine grained, slightly dry but perfectly balanced tannins provide the wine with excellent structure for extended cellaring. Superb length with very long and persistent aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice allsorts, mint and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years (2011-2017).
