2005 Hartenberg Estate Wine The Stork Shiraz

This wine was matured for 20 months in 100% new French oak. Outstanding opaque dark purple black colour with deep purple black hue. Perfumed nose with lifted aromas of blackberry, liquorice and dark plum followed by some violet end notes – a superb sniff. The palate displays generous flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and spice with some leather undertones also beginning to emerge. Refined displaying excellent depth. Very fine grained perfectly balanced tannins with long aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice, blackberry and spice.
Cellar a further 4-5 years (2014-2015).
