2005 El Quintanal Ribera Del Duero Tempranillo

This is presently the vogue region for Tempranillo, located two hours north of Madrid. The area has a large diurnal temperature range giving the wines much of their depth of flavour.

Almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Aroma of dark chocolate, liquorice, spice and cherry. Full bodied palate, with flavours of cherry, raspberry and liquorice evident. Fine grained tannins. Cherry, raspberry and liquorice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
