The Quartet is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Grenache, 20% Merlot and 20% Shiraz that was matured for 16 months in French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays lifted ripe berry aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and raspberry followed by some spice notes. Medium to full bodied possessing plenty of richness the palate delivers generous flavours of ripe blackberry, black raspberry and dark plum followed by a spicy back palate. Fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of black raspberry, dark plum, spice and a touch of leather.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).
