Deep crimson mauve colour with deep crimson hue. Medium body – much lighter than expected given the density of previous years Grenache wines. Top note of liquorice allsorts, followed by a hint of mocha and coffee, with end notes of white pepper and raspberry. The palate structure is quite tight. Flavours of spice, raspberry and white pepper are supported by fine dry tannins. The wine remains tight, but elegant.
