2005 Chateau Les Hauts de Palette

Opaque black dark brick red colour with a dark brick red hue. The nose displays blackcurrant top notes followed by some cedary tobacco, old leather and spicy earth scents. The palate is drying out and needs drinking now. Elegant blackcurrant flavours are still evident but are being overrun by tertiary characters of old leather, earth and spice. Chewy tannins. Finishes dry and short with an aftertaste of old leather, earth and spice.
