2005 Brown Magpie Shiraz

The grapes for this wine were handpicked, crushed and hand plunged in small vats. Following pressing, the wine was aged in French, Hungarian & American oak casks.
Almost opaque black crimson colour with black crimson hue. Top note of liquorice followed by confectionary, vanilla and violets delivering a delightful cool climate Shiraz sniff. The palate echoes the nose with flavours of plum, stewed fruit, vanilla and spice followed by nuances of cherry. There is a minor leathery back palate component. Fine grained tannins, with long aftertaste.
