The early ripening varieties of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the cornerstones of the Geelong District. However, the same large shift in diurnal temperature (warm days, very cool nights) that is required for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay also produces great Riesling. Cropping levels must be carefully managed in Geelong, but given the right season, exceptional full bodied Riesling can be produced. The 2005 Boundary Rider Riesling offers fantastic value for money.

A superb Riesling from Geelong, showing more palate weight and depth than is evidenced from many of its counterparts in Clare Valley.

Bright pale straw colour with straw hue. Lifted, highly aromatic nose of tropical fruit, lime and rose petal showing strong varietal character. Mouthfilling palate, with silky texture. Flavours of lime, tropical fruit and orange fill the palate. Clean finish followed by a very long aftertaste of lime, tropical fruit and spice.
Cellar 2-3 years (2008-2009)
Alc/Vol: 13.5%
