2005 Boat O'Craigo Black Spur Pinot Noir

This is a very mean and lean Pinot. Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Semi translucent. Aroma of strawberry and spice with just a hint of violet. The palate lacks varietal character and ripe fruit flavours. There is some stewed fruit flavours emerging, but the wine is lean, dry, simple and basically unripe.
