2005 Bird in Hand Two In The Bush Merlot Cabernet

A soft red. Bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Top note of spice and cedar followed by a blackcurrant end note. Plum, stewed fruit and spice palate with cedar background. Some light truffle and earth back palate flavours. Soft tannins. Cedar and plum aftertaste.

First Tasted, October 2006: Very deep, almost opaque black purple colour with purple hue. Aroma of blackcurrant and spice, followed by a mulberry and liquorice end note. On the palate, flavours of blackcurrant, liquorice and mocha. Fine, very dry tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice and mocha.
