2005 Antinori Villa Antinori Toscana

This wine has been produced from a blend of 55% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 5% Syrah. Maturation took place in a combination of French, American and Hungarian oak barriques for 12 months. It was then bottle aged a further 8 months before release.

Deep crimson red mauve colour with deep mauve brick red hue. Lifted notes of black cherry, cedar, spice and new leather – quite perfumed. Medium bodied with flavours of dark cherry, spice and cedar followed by some leather and earth notes on the back palate. Dry, fine grained tannins but balanced. Aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and leather.
