2005 Altos Del Cuadrado Jumilla

This blend is composed of 85% Monastrell (also known as Mataro or Mouvedre), 10% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 10 days followed by 4 months ageing in a combination of American and French oak. Deep black crimson colour with deep mauve crimson hue. Medium body. Top note of liquorice, followed by spice, vanilla and plum. On the palate flavours of cherry, spice and plum with liquorice in the background. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance but persistent into the aftertaste. Cherry and plum aftertaste.
