2004 Zonte's Footstep Cabernet Malbec

The 2004 Zonte’s Footsteps Cabernet Malbec recently won the three top Quaff Awards for 2006, including the 2006 Quaff Oberon Kant Award for Quintessential Quaffer, the 2006 Quaff Red Wine of the Year and finally the 2006 Quaff Ultimate Australian Wine under $15. This wine has created a wave of rave reviews, being recognised as one of the great quaffing bargains. Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Intense nose of ripe plum, liquorice strap, spice and blackcurrant. The palate is filled with generous ripe fruit flavours of liquorice, blackcurrant, dark chocolate, mocha and ripe plum. Fine grained tannins, with long aftertaste of dark chocolate, plum, liquorice and spice.
