Wine maker Greg Clayfield has produced a superb example of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2004 vintage in Coonawarra proved to be excellent for Cabernet Sauvignon, the extended growing season allowing the fruit to reach optimal ripeness producing wines with excellent rich, ripe fruit flavours and good structure.

Matured in small French and American oak casks for 16 months. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue showing good depth of colour. The nose reveals aroma of blackcurrant and violets, followed by cedar, spice with a ripe plum end note. The palate has good weight, with ripe Cabernet fruit flavours being dominant. Flavours of confectionary, violet infusions and blackcurrant create a mouthfilling flavour experience. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance. Very long spice aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2010-2011)
