Semi translucent crimson colour with mauve hue. Relatively perfumed nose of spice, raspberry and liquorice. The palate delivers raspberry and spice flavours. Fine grained tannin. Light raspberry and spice aftertaste. A light quaffer.

First tasted, October 2005:
A very well made quaffer, and at the budget end of the Cotes du Rhone market. Medium body, bright crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. The nose reveals a touch of spice, followed by liquorice and plum. Creamy mouthfeel, with flavours of ripe spicy raspberry emerging. Soft tannins. Aftertaste of plum and spice.
