2004 Wayne Thomas Cabernet Sauvignon

A full bodied dark black Cabernet that needs time to evolve. The wine has been matured in French and American oak. Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. The density of colour gives the wine a strong ability to cling to the sides of the glass. Aroma of blackcurrant and dark chocolate. The palate reveals flavours or blackcurrant and spice followed by liquorice back palate flavours. Very dry, chalky tannins that need to integrate into the wine. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, liquorice and dark chocolate, with dry chalky tannins persisting.
