Madame Clicquot is credited for creating the first vintage Champagne in 1810. The 2004 vintage is sourced from a mix of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards with the final blend being composed of 62% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Meunier.

A beautifully balanced Champagne combining both the richness and freshness of the 2004 vintage.

Good frothy white mousse which once dissipated reveals a pale straw gold base wine colour possessing an exceptionally fine and profuse bead. Excellent nose of baked bread and yeast lees intermixed with some light toastiness over a background of light cashew and citrus. Rich yet refined flavours of yeast lees, baked bread and citrus grace the palate followed by some brioche and roasted almond characters. Clean crisp acidity finishes off the creamy textured palate beautifully. Excellent depth with a long yeast lees, toast, brioche and lightly roasted almond aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
