An excellent example of what can be made from a big blend of Cabernets. This wine has been developed for the U.S. market and over-delivers. The blend is made up of 39% Cabernet, 27% Petit Verdot, 24% Shiraz, 6% Merlot and 4% Malbec. Totally opaque black purple colour. The wine is impressive with lifted notes of blackcurrant, mulberry, black cherry, liquorice and spice. On the palate ripe ‘Cabernet family’ flavours are evident. Blackcurrant, chocolate and spice are followed by a very spicy back palate. Dryish tannins, but well supported by the ‘joosy’ Cabernet fruit flavours. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and liquorice.
