2004 Smith & Hooper Wrattonbully Merlot

Very deep crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Top note of blackcurrant, followed by spice with a mulberry end note. On the palate flavours of mulberry and spice followed by blackcurrant. Fine dryish tannins. Aftertaste of plum, spice and blackcurrant followed by a hint of cherry, chocolate and mulberry. A very good example of Merlot.
