2004 Punt Road Cabernet Sauvignon

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Top note of cedar followed by blackcurrant and just a hint of tea leaf. The palate flavours are a little lighter than expected from the nose. Flavours of stewed fruit and cedar emerge followed by tea leaf on the back palate which remains quite spicy. There are nuances of mocha and coffee. Aftertaste of mocha and coffee with fine dry chalky persistent tannins.
