2004 Plunkett Blackwood Ridge Traminer Riesling

Bright straw colour with water like hue. The nose reveals a hint of lychee followed by spice and tropical fruit. There is a touch of residual sweetness on the palate, with a hint of sultana emerging over a layer of ripe pineapple and tropical fruit. The wine lacks depth and length.

First tasted, July 2005:
Bright straw colour with water like hue. Subtle nose of lychee, tropical fruit and spice. The palate reveals some residual sweetness, over a layer of kiwifruit, tropical fruit and apricot concentrate. There is a real sense of ‘tinned tropical fruit salad’ sweetness emerging on the palate – almost syrupy. Soft acid finish.
