2004 Mr Riggs Tempranillo

An excellent example of this Spanish varietal. Ben Riggs has produced a fruit filled wine whilst maintaining that classic drying tannin structure. Very deep brick red colour with brick red hue. Perfumed nose of cherry, followed by leather and spice. The palate has impressive weight, with flavours of ripe black cherry overlaid with spice and blood plum. Fine dryish and drying tannins, typical of the varietal which persist into the aftertaste. Long aftertaste of cherry, plum and spice.
