Opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson mauve hue. Medium body. The nose reveals notes of raspberry and spice over a light liquorice end note. The palate is tighter than expected with nuances of sour cherry and raspberry supported by fine dry slightly chalky and persistent tannins. Warm spicy back palate, with aftertaste of cherry, stewed fruit and spice.
