We have tasted two samples of this wine. The first sample delivered a superb nose, yet the palate flavour profile floundered. The second sample was excellent.

First Sample: Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. Aroma of yeast lees, biscuit and hazelnut, showing good barrel ferment character. The palate does not deliver on the nose. Light biscuit, yeast lees and hazelnut flavours emerge with just a touch of butterscotch in the background. Some citrus flavours appear on the back palate. Crisp acid backbone. Aftertaste of yeast lees and citrus.
Cellar 2-3 years (2008-2009)
Alc/Vol: 13%

Second Sample: Deep straw colour with straw hue. Superb, complex nose, with notes of hazelnut, yeast lees, biscuit and cashew, finishing with toasted oak. The palate delivers excellent weight and mouthfeel, with flavours of yeast lees, hazelnut and biscuit. Flavours of almond, cashew and biscuit appear on the palate with toasted oak in the background. Creamy texture. Light, grapefruit and lemon on the back palate, with a spicy aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years (2009-2010)
