2004 Lady Bay Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 3 years in French oak of which 70% was new and 30% older oak. The colour is holding up very well displaying an opaque black crimson colour with a deep dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of blackcurrants, cedar, liquorice bullets and a touch of spice as an end note. Full bodied the palate delivers flavours of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, spice and cedar with a hint of leather emerging on the back palate. Slightly dry and chewy tannins give the wine a leathery texture. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar, spice and leather.
Cellar a further 2-3 years (2012-2013).
