This Durif is lighter in alcohol than the Warrabilla, being 14.5% Alc/Vol. as compared with 16% Alc/Vol. and the difference manifests itself on the flavour profile. Very deep black crimson colour with deep purple hue. Aroma of spice and liquorice, followed by confectionary and vanilla. The palate is quite tight, with flavours of cherry, liquorice and raspberry evident. Dry tannins, which persist, leaving the mouth quite dry. Moderate palate weight. Cherry, liquorice aftertaste.
