2004 Henschke Joseph Hill Gewurztraminer

This wine is a tribute to Joseph Hill who planted the fist vines on the property early last century. Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. The top note is filled with lychee and spice aroma, followed by a floral endnote, showing good Gewurztraminer character, however, without the power of an Alsatian wine. The palate again is distinctive with flavours of musk, lychee, tropical fruit and green apple emerging. Good weight, soft acid finish. Aftertaste of lychee, spice and musk.
