The Heathcote Estate is located next door to Ron Laughton’s Jasper Hill, in

Drummond Lane
. The vineyard is a joint venture between Robert Kirby (Village Roadshow) and Louis Bialkower (the lawyer who founded Yarra Ridge, before selling out to Mildara).

Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Perfumed nose – spicy blackberry top notes followed by violets, vanilla and liquorice allsorts. The palate flavour profile delivers strong regional character with generous flavours of spice, black pepper and blackberry. Fine grained, dryish, slightly chalky tannins. Very long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, plum and spice.
