Named after Rob Gibson’s Mum. The blend is composed of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Medium body, crimson colour with crimson hue. Top note of mulberry, followed by spice and blackcurrant, showing impressive varietal character. There is a touch of earth and truffle on the palate, overlaid with cedar, spice and blackcurrant. Fine grained, relatively soft tannins. Aftertaste of mulberry and truffle which are quite persistent. Cellar 3-4 years (2010-2011) Alc/Vol: 14.3% First Tasted 3/10/2007 This wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Bright crimson colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Top note of mulberry, followed by spice and chocolate, showing strong varietal character, with confectionary end notes. The palate has good weight with flavours of dark chocolate, mocha and spice emerging over a background of vanilla, confectionary and spice. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, chocolate, confectionary and spice.
