2004 Gemtree Vineyards Uncut Shiraz

In 1998 the Buttery extended family decided to keep their best parcels of fruit in order to produce wine under their own label. This is an outstanding example of a big ‘joosy’ McLaren Vale Shiraz and reflective of the great vintage conditions. Saturated black purple colour with black purple hue. Lifted top note of violet, vanilla, blackberry and spice followed by end notes of liquorice and black pepper. The palate delivers an explosion of blackberry, black pepper, plum and spice flavours – mouthfilling – and supported by fine grained tannins. Perfect balance. Aftertaste of vanilla, black pepper and blackberry.
