A magnificent Shiraz.

Totally opaque black purple colour with black purple hue. Superb nose, with top notes of liquorice followed by dark chocolate, vanilla, spice and toasted oak. Rich voluptuous palate, loaded with ripe fruit flavours. Blackcurrant, vanilla, spice and plum flavours fill the palate followed by a black pepper and liquorice all sorts backpalate. Fine grained, velvet smooth tannins. Very long aftertaste of spice, vanilla, black pepperand liquorice all sorts.

Other Reviews…
Aged in 60% French and 40% American oak, the 2004 Shiraz Saint Jakobi exhibits a dense, ruby/purple colour along with a beautiful, projected perfume of blueberries, blackberries, smoke, subtle barrique, and peppery scents. Rich, full-bodied, and opulent, it is best consumed over the next 7-10 years.
