2004 Dominique Portet Shiraz

An excellent example of a refined style Heathcote Shiraz. Throughout his remarkable career, Dominique has managed to give all his wines a “French” twist which is hardly a surprise given his famous French origin. Opaque black purple colour with deep purple crimson hue. Superb nose of liquorice allsorts, violets, spice and black pepper. The palate has impressive weight whilst at the same time delivers an impressive refined flavour profile. Flavours of violet infusions, black and white pepper, followed by blackberry, plums and spice. Velvet tannin structure.
